Designed for users with basic communication needs, this model includes all of the 1603's features, but has an extra 10/100 Ethernet port for a co-located laptop or PC.
Compatible with both the IP Office platform (avaya IP500) and the Communications platform, the Avaya 1603 includes many features typically found only in higher end, more expensive, enterprise class telephones. These features include a bright, backlit display, support for multiple call appearances, 2 way speakers, dual lamp LEDs, fixed feature keys, and a context sensitive user interface with soft keys. And, because of its cost effectiveness, end users gain access to a feature rich telephone, but at a very attractive price point.
The 2 line by 16 character display of the Avaya 1603 supports 3 line appearances or feature keys. Each line button includes dual LEDs (red, green) providing explicit status for the user. For a familiar look and feel, these telephones include several fixed feature keys for common telephone tasks including conference, transfer, drop, hold and mute.
The 1600 series consists of five models, the 16CC, 1603, 1603SW, 1608 and 1616, the latter of which also supports a 32 button expansion module.
